Just what is the point of this forum anymore, its just full of spam and more spam.

They aren't people: they are millions of automated 'spam bots'. I've installed anti-spam plugins, tweaked the registration process, installed widgets that filter out known bad IPs, spent hours reading the latest thinking on the myBB forum, adding a moderator to help stamp on it at the earliest opportunity.... and plenty of other stuff that's too boring to relate.
Any other ideas?
